Dear Pedro Pan Brothers and Sisters
Leaden
skies, pouring rain, even untypical Angeleno cool temperatures could not cast a pall on the late afternoon preparations for
the upcoming Cuban
Kids from the 60s Exodus Pedro Pan mixer celebrating Cuban Americans
excelling in the Arts.

California magic did not fail as the skies cleared and the stars lit up the classical old
world Spanish décor of stunning Hacienda Santa Maria the home of our gracious hosts for the
evening Aner and Rebecca Iglesias.
The evening progressed with
the social hour as the guests arrived and camaraderie established as the order of the evening. Then it was time for serving
of the superbly prepared Cuban fare. Over 250 Pedro Pan and guests were seated to enjoy the delicious lechon asado and chilindrón
de chivo!

After
the sumptuous meal, Sergio Diaz conducted a brief program. Our hosts Aner and Rebecca Iglesias were presented with a clock
by the Cuban Kids from the 60s Exodus, symbolizing the time that stood still for us Pedro Pan as we waited to be reunited
with our parents.
The
brief program concluded by presenting a pin of the Cuban Kids logo and certificates of appreciation to the numerous members
of the Cuban American performing arts and artistic community attending as special guests.
